  • Didn’t realize how much fun room design would be!

I downloaded this game in March, but only started playing it in June and I am totally addicted! My frustrations are a little different than a lot of the reviewers, though. I am frustrated at the limited number of design challenges available each day. I have accumulated way more furniture than I will ever be able to use. For instance, I have six dining room table choices (30 tables in total), but there is only a dining room challenge about once or twice a week. I would love to see either an increase in the number of challenges with a variety of room types, or better yet, a practice option, where players could practice putting together different types of rooms, in order to keep us playing this game more than an hour a day. I understand that the number of daily challenges is based on the number of players available to play, and cast votes, but it would be nice to spend a little more time playing (and not just in casting excessive votes), especially if I’m spending $20 a week on diamonds in order to compete with the challenges in the way I want. Also, several reviewer‘s have commented on winning designs not meeting the criteria of the design challenge. Voters who vote for an aesthetically-pleasing room instead of checking out the room criteria cannot be controlled. The fact that we have to cast 40 votes for each challenge that we enter into is a lot, but important. There are so many players submitting challenges that each person must do their due diligence in the voting process. I would hate to see a computer picking winners because people would rather buy votes than cast them. Keeping the requirement that a partial amount of furniture must meet the room design criteria is good. I think if players were limited to only choosing furniture within the design criteria only, there would be a lot more unhappy people, because they would be using their purchased furniture even less, and would be forced to buy furniture that meets the criteria. I don’t know the answer to the problem, but I am happy to be able to use some of my inventory instead purchasing new furniture and having a lot of my inventory going to waste. It would also severely restrict access to challenges by new players who have not accumulated much furniture. Regarding the comments about wall art, I completely agree that players options are extremely limited and often have no choices that go with the criteria of the design challenge. I would like to see more art options available for purchase that would allow players to be more creative. I would also hope that the game designers would consider giving players a practice option so they can continue to play the game while waiting for challenges. Other than that, I love this game!
  • Interesting, but designers don't follow rules!

While the game is great and I look forward to the daily challenges, there seems to be a problem with players following the instructions. The same, tired boring designs constantly get the high scores... Designers: Please QUIT with the constant black & white designs-you are often NOT adhering to the requirements for the room! It's not always about what you like-FOLLOW THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROOM! Please STOP with the boring black & white geometric rugs that always get 5 stars! And voters, please do not vote for the black & white designs and maybe others will begin to be rewarded fairly! Use some variety...no one wants the same all the time! I honestly wish the black and white geometric pattern rugs were just removed from inventory because that way, no one could utilize them in a design again-try something new...oh what a novel idea! It also drives me crazy when you see 2 or 3 of the same paintings placed in a room. You wouldn't see that in a real home or design (other than with wall plaques), so why are you doing it here? Use some creativity and be different-Please for the sake of the game! When required, please style the room as you are instructed! If the requirement is coastal, then style it coastal. If rustic, then style rustic, Mediterranean, modern, traditional and so on. And please use some color! Last out, I styled a beautiful MCM room and many others that received a higher score were NOT designing in the MCM style one bit. This skews the ratings and needs to be fixed. I get tired of seeing primarily black & white rooms getting the high scores, especially when they are not adhering whatsoever to the required style. By the same token, voters need to do their part as well. Please base your vote on the designers adhering to the required style and their design as a whole instead of simply voting for what you like-follow the instructions!

The scoring is designed to be whoever spends the most wins. Good luck! Level 6 against level 34 and then if you use what you already own you won’t ever get a 5.
  • Awful service

I had played this game for well over a year faithfully. I spent way too much building an inventory that randomly disappeared overnight. I emailed customer service for assistance, and nothing. NO HELP AT ALL. Very VERY unsatisfied. I would leave ZERO stars if I could!

Fun game but it’s near impossible to play without spending any actual money. You use diamonds to buy furniture that is required for a design contest, which rewards diamonds to the winners. You end up spending several thousand diamonds on furniture in just ONE contest which MIGHT win you 125 diamonds. Good luck entering any other challenges now that you have no diamonds left.
  • Love this game but...

I love this game, BUT I think I think there needs to be an option to allow players to set a price when searching for furniture. For example: They allow you to search for Style, color, designer, etc., but won't let you set a price with the $ you have. I understand this is because it is an app trying to make money, but it ONLY makes it harder on the player. We already have to sift through HUNDREDS of items. Please make this an option. I love this game, but this part makes me rethink the ethics of of a game and the greed of the same game overall
